Self-Compassion Meditation
This five-minute practice is grounded in the research of Kristin Neff*.
We speak to ourselves more than to any other human. Let that sit for a moment.
So the words we choose matter. Thoughts shape feelings, feelings shape behaviors, and behaviors shape the results we live with.
Research shows that pausing in hard moments to speak to yourself with kindness builds your capacity to move through it with more steadiness. In this meditation, I guide you toward three things:
Gentle presence with what you are feeling
Acknowledging our shared humanity
Deliberate self-kindness
Return to this pause as often as you need it, and notice the capacity it builds for greater resilience.
If this met you where you are, then let’s stay connected.
